Peter Jones Enterprise Academy announces cornerstone partnership with Grant Thornton

New partnership unveiled to support mission of nationwide academy network

The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy has today announced a partnership with leading business and financial advisory firm Grant Thornton UK LLP to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.

The Cornerstone Partnership will form the basis of a joint mission to unlock entrepreneurial potential in young people, building on a shared ethos to promote innovation and champion entrepreneurship.

Grant Thornton will support the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy in its mission to train and motivate young people through its unique ‘learning by doing approach’, so that students are equipped with the skills to ‘make a job, not take a job’.

Harnessing the skills and expertise of Grant Thornton, and its core value of taking a leadership role in the development and delivery of entrepreneurial education, the Cornerstone Partnership will see Grant Thornton engage closely with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy to support and inspire its students.

The partnership will encompass the following areas:

• The development and delivery of curriculum sessions
• The provision of business surgeries within the Academies
• Mentoring support for Academy students
• Work placements for Academy students within Grant Thornton
• Support and engagement in apprenticeship schemes
• Partnering in developing new innovative products for the marketplace
