“Where there’s a will there’s a way.”
“I like the quote “where there’s a will there’s a way” because at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy you are constantly reminded that you can achieve and that there is no such thing as failure – only feedback!
I joined the Academy because I wanted access to the business world and the course offered invaluable advice from tutors and entrepreneurs. It also provided opportunities to pitch for investment.
Whilst I was on the course, I developed my business idea for Pharrell’s Limited and made it through to the preliminary round of The Million Pound Start-up Competition and The Edge Challenge.
A highlight of the Academy was being a finalist for the National Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 competition where I got to pitch to Peter Jones CBE and a panel of fantastic judges who are supporters of the Peter Jones Foundation.
I have learnt a great deal from the Academy and the many challenges I have faced. I believe what I have learnt will positively impact my ability to succeed. I am pretty sure that there are others out there who think they may not be able to get support because they may have faced challenges in life. I would like to encourage people like that to take the positive approach of never looking back as they strive to obtain a better future and become role models for others. This is one of the reasons I would like to run my own successful business as I would like to inspire and help those who are less fortunate to see the opportunities I see and improve upon their own mind-sets.
Being at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy has helped me to understand that if other entrepreneurs have had a set back and still made it, I can too.”
