Peter Jones' ambition of running a multi-million pound company can be traced back to his early childhood. He spent many an occasion whiling away the hours after school at his father's place of work, dreaming of entrepreneurial success while sitting in his father's executive leather chair. He went on to make that dream a reality, building a multi-million pound business empire by the age of 35. He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of a portfolio of businesses ranging from telecoms and leisure to publishing, media and recruitment.


2005 was a pivotal year for Peter, who appeared as a panelist on BBC2's ground breaking business television show Dragons' Den, which has aired five successful series. Together with his fellow Dragon, Theo Paphitis, Peter purchased struggling events firm Red Letter Days following the company's collapse. Peter also created Wines4Business.com, an online retailer specialising in the sale of wine and champagne to corporate clients, as well as Celcius.co.uk, a specialist recruitment business. He has many investments from the BBC show Dragons' Den including Wonderland Magazine, a new luxury lifestyle magazine, The Generating Company, a contemporary circus company, i-Teddy, Concentrate, Autosafe Products and Reggae Reggae Sauce among others. From ITV's Tycoon, Peter added Be-Eco, Hair Rehab and the winner Bladez Toyz to his portfolio.


2006 saw the launch of his new production company Peter Jones TV and its first commission, American Inventor, which was to become an instant hit for America's largest TV network, ABC. When the show aired on the 16th March 2006, it went straight in as a No. 1 hit show and was ABC's biggest success for years on a Thursday night. The show was re-commissioned for another series in 2007 and has now been sold around the world to regions including, Latin America, Asia, Europe and Australasia. It is currently on Virgin 1 in the UK. In April 2006, Peter signed a deal with ITV to produce and star in business show Tycoon, which aired in the summer of 2007, This ground-breaking idea saw Peter searching the UK for the next big Business Tycoon, mentoring 6 entrepreneurs, helping them to turn their business dreams into reality.


On 11th March 2008, Peter along with Prime Minister Gordon Brown, announced the launch of a new National Enterprise Academy dedicated to unlocking entrepreneurial talent among teenagers. Jointly backed by the Peter Jones Foundation and the Government, the Academy will open in September 2009.

Peter has also received a number of personal accolades. In 2001, he was named as Emerging Entrepreneur of The Year by The Times/Ernst & Young, and was listed 10th in Britains top entrepreneurs aged 40 and under by the Daily Telegraph in 2006.
