The Peter Jones Foundation Raises a Record £200K at 20th Anniversary Charity Shoot Day

On 1st July 2005, Peter Jones CBE launched the Peter Jones Foundation with a clear mission to empower young people across the UK through the transformative power of entrepreneurship. Two decades later, on 1st July 2025, we were immensely proud to celebrate this landmark anniversary with our 20th Anniversary Charity Shoot Day.

The event took place at the prestigious Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds, set within 120 acres of stunning open countryside, steeped in history and tradition. We are grateful to the incredible team at Holland & Holland for their support in delivering a truly unforgettable day of clay pigeon shooting and an exquisite fine dining experience crafted by Michelin-trained Head Chef Joshua Hunter.

This year’s sold-out event welcomed our largest turnout to date, bringing together a remarkable mix of long-standing supporters, valued sponsors, and new friends of the Foundation. Among the distinguished guests were Touker Suleyman, entrepreneur and Dragon from the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, and James Jordan, popular English ballroom dancer and choreographer. We are truly honoured by the presence of all who joined us in support of our charitable mission.

£200K was raised at this year’s fundraiser, an incredible testament to the generosity and commitment of our supporters. The funds will directly support the delivery of our programmes across the UK, continuing our mission to inspire and equip young people, particularly those from under-served and under-represented communities. Foundation initiatives include the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, a network of schools and colleges delivering world-class qualifications in enterprise and entrepreneurship and its flagship National Entrepreneur of the Year competition that is delivered with the support of FRP Advisory and provides young entrepreneurs with the opportunity of pitching their business idea to Peter Jones CBE for a grant of up to £10,000. Another key programme is the Tycoon Enterprise Competition, which enables students to start and run their own businesses in a dynamic, nationwide competition, delivered in schools across the UK. By engaging in this hands-on experience, young entrepreneurs not only compete with student-led start-ups from across the country but also gain essential life and business skills that will serve them in future education, employment or self-employment.

Peter Jones CBE said:
“My Foundation has been helping to empower young people for 20 years and it’s more important than ever to provide young people with the right mix of support and opportunity, to help them fulfil their potential and the right to a brighter future. Days like today allow us to raise vital funds towards our charitable programmes that make a difference across the country, and I am so grateful for all the support that everyone has shown. Business changed my life, and I am delighted that we can change many more lives with the money raised at today’s PJF Shoot event.”

The Foundation would like to extend a special thanks to Breaside Preparatory School, Sir Wiliam Perkins’s School, and Shaftesbury Park Primary School for bringing their Tycoon students to our Charity Shoot Day. We were pleased to spotlight our beneficiaries and our guests were thoroughly impressed by the creativity and quality of the products each student business presented.

As we mark 20 years of transformative work, we wish to express our deep appreciation to all those who share our vision and contribute to the continued success of the Foundation’s mission. Together, we look forward to shaping the future of enterprise education and providing opportunities for young people across the country. We look forward to your continued support.
