The Peter Jones Foundation’s Annual Charity Shoot Day Raises £240K

This year’s Peter Jones Foundation Shoot, held at the prestigious Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds, raised a record £240,000, which will support the charity’s mission to empower young people across the UK through the transformative power of entrepreneurship.

The event, hosted by Peter Jones CBE, took place on 10th September and brought together a mix of long-standing supporters, valued sponsors and new friends of the Foundation. Among the distinguished guests were Touker Suleyman, entrepreneur and Dragon from the BBC’s Dragons’ Den; Tom Kerridge, celebrated British chef, restaurateur and TV personality and Claude Bosi, acclaimed French chef and restaurateur. We are truly grateful to all who joined us in support of our charitable mission. The record amount raised is an incredible testament to the generosity and commitment of our supporters.

The funds will directly support the delivery of our programmes across the UK, continuing our mission to inspire and equip young people, particularly those from under-served and under-represented communities.

Foundation initiatives include the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy — a network of schools and colleges delivering world-class qualifications in enterprise and entrepreneurship, and its flagship National Entrepreneur of the Year competition that is delivered with the support of FRP Advisory. This provides young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to pitch their business idea to Peter Jones CBE for a grant of up to £10,000.

Another key programme is the Tycoon Enterprise Competition, which enables students to start and run their own businesses in a dynamic, nationwide competition, delivered in schools across the UK. By engaging in this hands-on experience, young entrepreneurs not only compete with student-led start-ups from across the country, but also gain essential life and business skills that will serve them in future education, employment or self-employment.

Guests at this year’s Shoot had the opportunity to meet students participating in the Foundation’s Tycoon Enterprise Competition with young entrepreneurs from Broadwater School, West Lodge Primary School, St George's Ascot and Nescot College, showcasing a broad range of products from 3-in-1 dog walking bottles to eco-friendly greetings cards, lip balms and wool-blend scarves.

Days like today allow us to raise vital funds towards our charitable programmes and every pound raised will support the Foundation’s work to transform the lives of young people and particularly those at a disadvantage, giving them the skills, confidence and opportunities to dream big and build brighter futures.”
